I think I can.....

So today my project was to attempt home made pretzels and breakfast cookie bars. I got the recipe from an amazing blog I read called Heavenly Homemakers.
She does just about any sort of food you can come up with but it all is from scratch.  The great thing about her recipes are that they are REAL.  Meaning you can REALLY accomplish them.  That means you don't have to go out and hunt down a million different ingredients that you have never heard of. Most of the stuff can be found in a normal grocery store.  All of her directions are so simple to follow.  She also does a meal plan for the week and for past weeks.  (Most include the recipes for the things that she makes. It's fantastic, east and healthy.)  And let's just all get real.....if I can cook it......anyone can.
(A recent FB post from me was "My day wouldn't be complete without setting off the smoke detector")

So today I decided that I would make pretzels and breakfast cookies (I turned the cookies into bars for easier storage).  We are always hunting for simple snacks and easy breakfast.  So this was an attempt to help that issue.

Well here you go.....this is how it all turned out.....

Aside from that blurry picture :-)
they all turned out great!
And YES.....I still would have posted pictures if I had burned it all.

Disney

Ok finally I am getting around to putting our Disney pictures together.   As I sat here this morning putting them into a movie, I couldn't help but to tear up.  WHAT A TRIP!!!   What a blessing.  God's goodness is all around us if we will just pause and notice. I know it is easy to see the good in a Disney trip.  But for me the "God's goodness" is really seen in the facial expressions in these pictures.

We are such a blessed family.  Both my immediate family and extended family.  I am so thankful that I got to spend this Christmas with all of them.

Christmas 2010

WOW!!!!  Here I sit on 1/1/11.  I can't believe that Christmas was a week ago.  I feel like I have lived 4 lifetimes since then.  Here are some pictures that will help you understand what I mean.

                                                        Christmas Morning!

The Ornament that my darling Hubby got me :-)

Big Sisters getting BIG hugs from the Little's

And the snow came :-O  We darted out of the house in hope of beating the major snow storm that was heading up the East Coast. We drove down into North Carolina and stopped for the night only to wake up to 8 inches of snow :-) But we were determined to make it to Florida.......
Once we made it to Jacksonville we ate dinner with Grand Parents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Sisters, Brothers, cats and dogs. The next morning we woke up ready to open presents.  First the children were all paired up with someone. Then we were all sent on a wild goose chase around the yard and house.....
At each stop we found and envelope and a new clue that would lead us to another stop......

The last clue led them to a package.  There they opened an ornament. Each ornament had something to do with Disney!!

Then they all had to work puzzles.....

After they all worked the puzzles they had to flip them over to reveal              different steps that they would take.....

After step number 6 it read GO TO DISNEY!!!!!!
So we all packed up that afternoon and headed for Orlando.  That night we ate dinner at a Pirate Dinner Theater that was VERY cool.  Then we checked into our hotel at the AllStar Sports Resort and tried to go to sleep.  Everyone was a little excited for what the next morning would bring........
