Dragons and Dinosaurs

Of all the things that I busy my life with one of my most favorite is home school. I absolutely love and adore watching my children's eyes light up when they have been trying soooooooo hard to figure something and then finally they understand!!!! Now don't get me wrong.... every day is not amazing and wonderful. In fact, those days are pretty spread out sometimes :-) But I wouldn't trade in any of those bad days if it meant loosing just one of the great days. I love that I am the one who gets to experience those moments. I am the one that gets to see them light up with understanding.

Today we got into a discussion about creation. The big girls and I needed to first make sure we were on the same page of understanding. So their science lesson contained these questions:

About how many years ago do you believe the Earth was created?
Did God flood the entire Earth or just part of it?
When the flood happened what did God destroy?
Were their cavemen?
What is Creationism?

Once they answered these questions and we made sure we really understood. The fun questions really began to come out. They asked so when were dinosaurs in the time line of creation? And were dinosaurs on the Ark?
Here is a link to a great video we watched that really helped us understand some things.

Why do I love home schooling?

Because somedays we get to sit around the dining room table, all in our pjs, with a hamster in my lap, watching a video about dragons and dinosaurs and talk about how cool God is.

I am thankful
