Been a while!!!

It has been a while since my last post, so I apologize for that. We finally have our DSL hooked back up. It is hard to be motivated to post on a blog when it takes FOREVER to load anything. So bare with me because this will probably be very long.

BIRTHDAY#2

Pey Pey and little Bear turned 2 and we had a blast. We decided to brave Chucky Cheese. It was so cool to see them get so excited to PAYYYYYYYY (translation:Play). The big sisters were wonderful. It is nice to have their help considering Dad and I are a little too big to climb up those tunnels. Don't get me wrong, we can do it, it is just not a pretty sight, and there is no guarantee that we will make it out alive. After going to Chaosville we came home for some cake. It was a good day!!

TRIP TO THE HOSPITAL

Last Wednesday night (in the middle of the night) Pey and I got to make our first trip to the ER. She was wheezing pretty badly and we weren't taking any chances. So we went to the ER and they worked on her for about 4 hours. After 4 breathing treatments, a steroid, and some X-rays, they concluded that it was croup. After the right meds were given we were sent home. Needless to say, Pey wasn't bothered by our trip to the ER. She had tons of fun meeting new people and convincing the nurses to give her candy as a reward for taking her medicine. As we left the ER at 5am she proudly waved bye and said thank you.

HOUSE STUFF

Everything with the house is going pretty much as planned. We are hopefully moving into the new house the first weekend of May. That will be after they have done the flooring. I have yet to take pictures of everything, but I will get there eventually.

Virginia Tech

I know that you have all heard about the tragedy in Hokie Land. It hard to believe that something like that could happen. As you can imagine, the news has been on non-stop around here. There are a large handful of youth that we worked with (At our church in Virginia) that are now students at Tech. So you can imagine our concern for them. After some text messages and phone calls we found that all are safe.

I think that when thing of this magnitude happen (like 9/11, Katrina, Tsunami) it always makes me pause and be thankful. Thankful for the family I have, the friends I have, and the God I have. I hope that today you hold your kids a little tighter, kiss your spouse one more time, and pray a little longer. Pray that those families who are angry, confused, and wondering in a lost world, will find their way to a loving God who is waiting with open arms to comfort them.

Yay! Glad you are in with 2007 technology again. :) Sorry to hear about Peyton. Good to hear she is doing well. Thankfully we have yet to have to make that trip.

We wondered if you had any former "kids" at VA Tech. Praise the Lord they are safe. We'll pray God will use them in a mighty way during this time. Can't wait to see pictures of the house!!

My granddaughter went to the Er and we didn't know?????????? Not surprised at all that she charmed her way through the experience. She looks a lot like her mommy! Give all the kids a BIG hug from granddaddy and zuzu
